A 4WD, which rammed a police car, ended up bogged in a lake in Banksia Grove early Monday.
Police said officers had attempted to stop the Toyota Hilux on Joseph Banks Boulevard just after midnight on August 22.
“The Hilux rammed the rear driver’s side of the police vehicle, causing damage to the bumper before driving away at speed,” a Police Media spokesman said.
Officers were called to a park near Grandis Boulevard and Botanic Avenue a short time later where they found the Hilux had driven into the lake.
The driver had fled the scene.
