POLICE are investigating a blaze that caused about $250,000 damage at a Banksia Grove home on Friday.
Luckily, the flames did not spread to other properties in the tightly packed suburban area.
Fire crews attended the Teasel Way property near Helms Lane about 8.15 am.
Officers had quelled the blaze about half an hour later.
A DFES spokeswoman said no one was home at the time.
Smoke bruising to the roof was all that could be seen from the street.
