Big presence but investigation cost to City unclear

The City answered questions from the Times after last Thursday’s council-WA Building Commission inspection of the Safari Place property

‘This has not been calculated,’ the City said of how much money had been spent on the investigation.

Wanneroo’s chief executive, planning and sustainability director, planning implementation manager, two rangers and six officers attended. Police were present. The City also stated:

– Information obtained from multiple inspections was still being assessed.

– The City has been working with WA Police for some time.

– Council officers have carried out many inspections on the property, most without police presence.
