Bottleshop and TAB robbed

Yesterday, police called for information on an armed robbery at the Kingsway TAB about 7pm on Tuesday, August 27.

A police spokeswoman said a man armed with a handgun and wearing a white hockey mask entered the Wanneroo Road business in Madeley and threatened staff and customers.

She said the man fled the scene empty-handed and was described as being fair-skinned, about 175cm tall with a medium/stocky build and wearing dark clothing.

The detectives have also been investigating another armed robbery at a Nowergup bottleshop last Saturday, August 24.

A police spokesman said a man entered the bottle store on Wanneroo Road about 7pm armed with a small axe and demanded cash.

‘The staff member complied with the demands and the offender left the shop with an amount of cash,’ he said.

‘The offender is described as fair skinned, approximately 30 years old, 165cm tall, of thin build and has blue eyes.

‘He was unshaven at the time of the offence.

‘He was wearing dark jeans, a white windcheater, black hooded windbreaker and light coloured shoes.’
