Bridget embarks on adventure to dream job

The 18-year-old recently joined the Royal Australian Navy with the ambition of becoming an occupational therapist.

The former Ashdale Secondary College and Swan View Senior High School student found a career in the defence force an appealing route to her "dream job".

"I was drawn to a career in the navy because it involves unique adventures full of adrenalin and it will allow me to see the world and help people in need," she said.

She was one of 18 men and women sworn into the navy this month.
