Candidates line up for the next round of elections

Troy Pickard, who has held the Joondalup post for seven years, will be hoping for another four-year term. He will be up against Teresa Ritchie who was elected to the council in the South ward two years ago. In Joondalup’s council wards the following candidates have nominated: Central ward: John Perry, Russell Poliwka, incumbent Liam Gobbert, Steve Magyar and Peter Rowlands.

North ward: Jean-Fancois Hannaire, Andrew Toulalan and incumbent Kerry Hollywood.

North central ward: Mehdi Azarian, incumbent Philippa Taylor, Victoria Rasmussen and Stephen Pole. South ward: Maria Kinkela and incumbent Russ Fishwick. South east ward: incumbent John Chester, Yadi Gibson and Jen Benson-Lidholm. South west ward: Clive Haddow, Nigel Leadbitter, Adam Byass, incumbent Christine Hamilton-Prime and Lisa Galatis.
