The Capture Nature photography competition is open to all 12 to 18-year-olds who live or attend school in the City of Joondalup.
Images must be taken within the City’s boundaries and include a caption to describe what the image means to the photographer.
Entries, which close Friday, May 2, will be judged on creativity, composition and message, with prizes for first, second, third and the City Choice Award.
Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the competition encouraged youngsters to explore the beaches, bushland and coastal areas of the city. Photos must be saved to a CD or USB with the photographer’s name, contact number and email address and submitted to the city with a completed entry form, or uploaded to the city’s website.
The competition will coincide with World Environment Day on June 5.
