Car crashes into house in Alexander Heights

A 48-YEAR-old Alexander Heights man will face court after the car he was allegedly driving crashed into a house on Saturday night.

Police were called to the house on Hillcrest Road in Alexander Heights about 6.40pm to reports that a Holden Monaro had crashed into the bedroom.

The driver fled the scene but was located a short time later at a nearby address.

No one was injured, but the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended to assess the structural damage to the house.

A spokeswoman said Wanneroo Joondalup SES was required because “the building was a bit unstable”.

She said the owner had removed the vehicle by the time they had arrived.

Malaga Fire and Rescue Service also attended.

The driver will be summonsed to court at a later date for driving with an alcohol reading in excess of 0.08 and careless driving.
