Carpark bays to close at Edgewater train station

MORE than half of the car park bays at Edgewater train station will close from early next year when construction starts on a new multi-storey car park.

About 500 bays in the southern car park will be closed from January 3 until the $29.5 million project is completed in late 2016.

The new facility will increase capacity from 890 to 1450 parking bays.

Transperth has advised passengers to consider cycling or walking to the station, being dropped off or catching a bus to Joondalup or Whitfords stations.
