Officers charged the teenagers during a police operation targeting crime in the CBD on Wednesday.

Joondalup Senior Sergeant Craig Wanstall put a question to parents: Do you know what your children are up to when not at home?

‘People’s poor behaviour should not be tolerated at local family areas such as train stations and shopping centres,’ he said.

Police detained a boy and girl, both 17, at Lakeside Joondalup shopping city for alleged vehicle theft, burglary and stealing offences.

The pair’s arrest led police to Mullaloo to charge a third teen.

Officers charged a 17-year-old girl with burglary, stealing, deprivation of liberty, threats, attempted aggravated armed robbery, driving without a licence and fuel theft.

The crackdown also had officers charge a 17-year-old boy at Joondalup train station with attempted aggravated assault while intending to commit a robbery.
