A slideshow of photos taken of the school four decades ago was shown before the family friendly movie Wreck-it Ralph.

Principal Russell Bembridge said the school had been an important part of the Hillarys community since it opened as Lymburner Primary School.

‘Families are at the core of all we do, so a family event was the perfect way to celebrate our place in the community,’ he said.

‘So many people have been part of this school’s journey and we are delighted to be celebrating 40 years serving the people of Hillarys.’
