Attendees, including eight school groups, were given free rolls and participated in a range of activities, including face and nail painting and making wristbands in the colours of the Aboriginal flag.

Mrs Roberts also launched the Better Beginnings Deadly Discovery Backpacks, which include story books, musical instruments, games and activities focused on Noongar language and culture. The backpacks are now available through the Wanneroo Library.
