The Heathridge facility has been helping families in the cities of Joondalup and Wanneroo for nearly 30 years.

‘We wanted to really be effective in our support of a very local charity and The Spiers Centre is right on our doorstep and deserves the JBA’s support,’ association president David Curry said.

Beyond Bank, formerly United Community, will be the auction night’s main sponsor.

‘We are very happy Beyond Bank has come on board because they have been supporting The Spiers Centre for many years and this sponsorship is a continuation of a great partnership,’ JBA chief executive Clive Haddow said.

People are encouraged to dress in line with the night’s Wild West theme.

There will be prizes for the best dressed, a variety of auctions and entertainment from The Voice television show finalist Adam Garrett.

‘The community is encouraged to support this event by either attending or donating auction items,’ Mr Haddow said.

‘Wild West Hyundai has donated a brand new Hyundai I20 for auction.

‘We also have set up an online auction for our bigger items and anybody is encouraged to bid on items they find interesting. The bidding site opened at 7am on August 26.’

The October 11 event will be at the ‘Auditorium’ on the corner of Royce and Winton roads Joondalup, with a spit roast and drinks. To donate auction items, call 9300 1414.
