Child abuse victim’s father charged

Police yesterday revealed the Child Abuse Squad had laid 503 charges for crimes committed over a two-year period when the victim was aged between 11 and 13.

The father faces 228 of the charges including accusations he indecently filmed his daughter 170 times, raped and drugged her. It is alleged he organised for the seven men to sexually assault her at various locations.

One of the men is accused of possessing 200,000 videos and four million images of child exploitation material.

A 35-year-old Wanneroo man was charged with 163 offences, including 148 counts of the aggravated indecent recording of a child under 13 and three counts of the aggravated sexual penetration of a child under 13.

He is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on August 19.

A 41-year-old Banksia Grove man, due to face Perth Magistrates Court on August 28, was charged with 12 offences, including drugging the girl and raping her.

Five other men, all in their 40s, from Attadale, Wembley, Coodanup, South Bunbury and Bedfordale, were also charged.
