Child sexual assault: man and teenage boy charged over incidents

POLICE have charged a man and a teenage boy with child sex offences dating back to 2013 after an investigation by the Child Abuse Squad.

It will be alleged that between 2013 and 2015 a 36-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy sexually assaulted a girl who was known to them.

The girl was eight years of age at the time of the first incident.

The 36-year-old man, of Wanneroo, has been charged with knowingly sexually penetrating a child and was due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old boy has been charged with sexual penetration of a child under 13 and was due to appear in Perth Children’s Court on August 4.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old Koondoola man was arrested on July 13 and charged with child sex offences from 2012.

It will be alleged the man sexually assaulted two girls, aged seven and eight at the time, who were known to him.

He has been charged with eight counts of knowingly sexually penetrating a child.

He was due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
