The club was among several community groups to host more than 240 children at Christmas in Koondoola’s Butterworth Park on Sunday, December 8.
Members provided a train for rides, barbecue trailer for the sausage sizzle and Santa laden with a bag of goodies.
Santa’s transport, Fat Cat’s golden beach buggy, came from Wild West Hyundai.
‘For the following four nights, Santa and Girrawheen Lions travelled the streets of Marangaroo, Alexander Heights, Koondoola and Girrawheen handing out Christmas lollies to the children,’ secretary Brian Anderson said.
‘This is also an annual event, which the club has been doing for 26 years with Fat Cat’s buggy used for the first time.’
