AFTER a two-year absence, Circus Royale and its Globe of Death return to the district this month.
This year’s event features motorbike-riding Mexican siblings Brandon, Geraldine and Hugo Fernandez for the first time.
The trio will star in the circus’ marquee stunt as they throttle motorbikes at up to 80km/h manoeuvring around each other inside a steel ball known as the Globe of Death.
A Chilean clown will feature as comic relief among a combination of 20 acrobats, which organisers proclaim as “extraordinary circus youth”. Circus owner Damian Syred considered it a “real old-fashioned traditional circus, the way it was from our childhood”.
