City of Joondalup hosting forum to discuss use of Warrandyte Park in Craigie

Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

THE City of Joondalup will hold a community forum next Thursday to discuss the use of Warrandyte Park in Craigie.

The forum will be at Heathridge Leisure Centre, starting at 6.30pm.

At the City’s October 18 meeting, the council requested a community forum to seek input on the utilisation of Warrandyte Park.

It follows the revocation of the council’s September 20 decision to allocate Warrandyte Park to the Joondalup United Football Club from next season, relocating Whitford City Football Club to Beldon Park and Charonia and Korella parks in Mullaloo.

This was to allow Joondalup United to have a home ground that would meet Football West’s standards for a National Premier League team.

A further report on Warrandyte Park’s usage and the outcome of community consultation will be submitted to the council at its December 13 meeting.

To attend the forum, complete the online registration form at www. joondalup.wa.gov.au or email warrandyte.park@joondalup.wa.gov.au for more information.
