Red tape cut in City of Wanneroo tender delegation

Laura PondWanneroo Times

WANNEROO City Council has increased the cost of tenders that can be approved by the chief executive.

The council passed a motion last month to give the chief executive authority to accept tenders of up to $1 million for projects that have been endorsed as part of the annual budget.

This was previously limited to $250,000, except for bids resulting from the expiry of a recurring contract and for the supply of plant and equipment.
