COMMUNITY groups and clubs in the City of Wanneroo are invited to access free workshops and resources to help enhance knowledge and skills.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the workshops would provide information on topics such as legal requirements, recruiting volunteers, applying for funding and hosting successful community events.

“The City of Wanneroo is home to many dedicated groups and clubs who all contribute to the vibrant makeup of our City,” she said.

“These free information sessions are being offered to help our local community groups and clubs thrive and grow.”

Incorporated groups needing to update their constitution can learn about the requirements of the Associations Incorporations Act 2015 at the Wanneroo Library on May 10 from 6-7.30pm.

A volunteer recruitment and retention session will be held at the Clarkson Library on May 17 from 6-8pm.

There will be two workshops on the City’s community funding program; one on June 9 at the Wanneroo Library and the other on July 14 at the Girrawheen Library, both from 10.30am-12.30pm.

On June 28 there will be a session about how to run a community event from 6-7.30pm at the Wanneroo Library.
