City of Wanneroo Library a safe place for technology use

THE City of Wanneroo’s library service is the first in WA to receive accreditation in a national cyber safety program.

Run by The Alannah and Madeline Foundation and the Telstra Foundation, eSmart Libraries is a free system providing libraries and users with skills to use technology safely and responsibly.

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the City was proud to be the first library service in WA to receive accreditation.

“Cyber safety is an essential part of modern life and we believe this accreditation will be of great benefit to our residents,” she said.

“This has been the culmination of hard work by our library staff to integrate cyber safety in our daily operations.”
