City of Wanneroo plans to plant trees along Wanneroo Road to reduce hooning, speeding

Lucy JarvisWanneroo Times

REVISED plans to reduce speeding and hooning in Neerabup are out for public consultation until March 1.

The City of Wanneroo previously proposed to install an angled slow point and reduce the road width along the Wanneroo Road* service road between Flynn Drive and Hall Road.

It aimed to increase road safety for access to properties on the service road, but unfavourable community feedback in December prompted the City to revise its plans and extend consultation.

The alternative design proposed planting verge trees and removing excess road shoulder width.
