ORGANISATIONS and businesses looking for a premises in the City of Wanneroo have until the end of the month to consider tenancy within the upgraded civic centre.

The City has three vacant premises at the centre on Dundebar Road open to a government organisation as well as businesses ranging from food vendors, health stores, beauticians, children’s centres and gift shops.

Deputy Mayor Nat Sangalli said the nearby Wanneroo Central shopping centre, which was being extended to accommodate a new Aldi and other speciality stores, was due to open in June.

“This will complement the GP Superclinic, regional library and arts centre and will add further to the vibrancy and vitality of the centre,” she said.

“The City is currently reviewing the Wanneroo town centre structure plan, which will consider the range of permissible land uses, providing opportunities for job creation and the provision of a new main street design with activated street frontages.

“There is a lot of momentum building in Wanneroo town centre and the revitalisation will mean access to a growing number of consumers.”

New civic centre tenants would be able to fit out the space to suit their individual business requirements and all three lease areas would be available for up to three years from July 1, 2018.

The first space, on the south-east corner of the civic centre with direct access to Dundebar Road, has a leasable area of 138sq m that is currently an open plan office area with self-contained amenities including a kitchen and toilets.

The second and third spaces are on the ground floor of the new extension with a combined floor space of about 1630sq m including a central foyer and lobby with toilets, accessible via Cafaggio Crescent.

Initial expressions of interest close at 4pm on Tuesday, January 30.
