City of Wanneroo school holiday activities to keep the kids entertained

SCHOOL holiday activities held over the fortnight in the City of Wanneroo will keep children of all ages with different interests entertained.

Sport enthusiasts aged 6-12 years old can take part in the three-day multi-sport program at the Wanneroo Recreation Centre and Gumblossom Community Centre.

Children from 8-12 with a passion for science can learn about electricity, heat and explosive energy at shows held across the City’s libraries by booking online at library.wanneroo.wa.gov.au.

Nature lovers and history buffs between 9 and 11 years old can enjoy outdoor activities at Yanchep National Park, or relish the challenge of solving Anzac mystery boxes at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre before baking Anzac biscuits at the Wanneroo Youth Centre.

Mobile laser tag will be on offer for young people aged 12-18 where they can compete in an amazing race, build a bike from scratch, take part in fitness and nutrition sessions, or do star gazing at Cockman House.

Children of all ages can pick up a holiday passport from the Wanneroo Regional Museum and explore with a map reading treasure hunt.

Some Wanneroo school holiday activities are free, with others subject to a small cost.
