THE City of Wanneroo has applied for funding to upgrade 14 road trouble spots through state and federal Black Spot programs.
The federal requests include $1.3 million to build paths either side of Wanneroo Road between Ocean Reef Road and Hepburn Avenue, $690,000 for a path on Prindiville Drive in Wangara and $492,000 to upgrade Kingsway.
It has applied for $360,000 to install skid-resistant treatment on Ocean Reef Road in Wangara, and $100,000 for the Beach Road and Alexander Drive intersection.

READ NOWThrough the state program, the City is seeking $1 million for paths on Wanneroo Road in Pearsall and Wanneroo, plus $116,667 for a Templeton Crescent path upgrade in Girrawheen.
For skid-resistant treatments, it applied for $120,000 for the Gnangara Road/Alexander Drive intersection in Gnangara and $70,000 for Marangaroo Drive in Alexander Heights.
