City of Wanneroo seeking funds for 14 Black Spots

THE City of Wanneroo has applied for funding to upgrade 14 road trouble spots through state and federal Black Spot programs.

The federal requests include $1.3 million to build paths either side of Wanneroo Road between Ocean Reef Road and Hepburn Avenue, $690,000 for a path on Prindiville Drive in Wangara and $492,000 to upgrade Kingsway.

It has applied for $360,000 to install skid-resistant treatment on Ocean Reef Road in Wangara, and $100,000 for the Beach Road and Alexander Drive intersection.

Through the state program, the City is seeking $1 million for paths on Wanneroo Road in Pearsall and Wanneroo, plus $116,667 for a Templeton Crescent path upgrade in Girrawheen.

For skid-resistant treatments, it applied for $120,000 for the Gnangara Road/Alexander Drive intersection in Gnangara and $70,000 for Marangaroo Drive in Alexander Heights.
