CITY of Wanneroo is seeking feedback on a plan to manage traffic on a Madeley road.

It has released a revised traffic management proposal for Kingsway between Sovrano Avenue and Hartman Drive, which is part of the third stage of upgrading the road from Wanneroo Road to Ashdale Boulevard.

The surrounding sections are listed in the City’s capital works program for construction in 2017-18 but high costs associated with the area adjacent to Kingsway Sporting Complex meant it had to revise the works.

The upgrades aim to address issues relating to pedestrian and cyclist safety, traffic speed and volume, congestion and hoon behaviour.

Plans include installing raised median islands along the stretch of the road, with spaces for crossovers, extended concrete footpaths, pram ramps and right turning lanes into the indoor stadium and Brightwater Care Group.

After public consultation, the proposal will be considered by the council.

An online survey is available until June 19 at www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au/consultations.
