City of Wanneroo seeks public feedback on managing coastline

The City of Wanneroo is running a survey to capture how the community would like to see its 32km coastline managed, in response to rising sea levels and coastal erosion.

The survey at www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au is open until December 18, and supported by a series of community information sessions.

The first two will be at the Mindarie-Quinns Community Centre on Monday, November 27 from 10.30am to noon and 6-7.30pm.

There will also be two at Butler Community Centre on Tuesday, November 28 from noon to 1.30pm and 7-8.30pm.

Another two will take place at the Phil Renkin Recreation Centre on Wednesday, November 29 from 6-7.30pm and Thursday, November 30 from 9.30-11am.

To attend sessions, call 9405 5523 or email Tenaha.Wilson@wanneroo.wa.gov.au .

The survey relates to the City’s Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan.
