ROCK climbing, a wine tour and Zumba are some of the activities seniors can enjoy as part of a City of Wanneroo program.

Marangaroo resident Jean Duff has participated in Growing Old Living Dangerously (GOLD) for the past few years and has signed up again, this time joined by her husband Alex.

Mrs Duff said the program was ideal for retired people.

“It gets you to try different things; I’ve been to a couple of places I had never even heard of,” she said.

“You get to meet other people and because they’re doing the same thing you get a chance to talk to them.”

There are six events running during June and August, including a Swan Valley wine tour, indoor rock climbing session, Zumba class and visit to the Gravity Discovery Centre in Gingin, which range in cost from free to $25.

To join, call 9405 5000.
