City of Wanneroo to hold volunteer info session

FIND out more about volunteering at a free information session in Wanneroo next week.

The City of Wanneroo is hoping to encourage people to join the more than 300 residents already volunteering for council-based services or match them with a local non-profit organisation.

Community activities run by the City include Books on Wheels, shoppers’ bus, adult day centres, fire and emergency services, social support and Buckingham House.

The session will feature speakers from volunteer groups including St John Ambulance and the City’s funded services and conservation and wetlands departments.

It will run from 9.30am to noon on August 19 at Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre.
