City of Wanneroo wants feedback on community engagement policy

CITY of Wanneroo is seeking public comment on changes to its community engagement policy.

Councillors unanimously agreed to advertise the draft policy for 28 days at their May 9 meeting.

Changes included deleting background information, operational information and attachments to the original policy, which the council adopted in 2014.

“The City is committed to fostering an engagement culture throughout the organisation and ensuring community needs and feedback is at the centre of the decision making process where appropriate,” a report to the council said.

“The existing policy has been reviewed in line with these aims and objectives.”

The policy is out for public comment until June 18.
