The plan will inform and prioritise maintenance activities and projects at the 5.6ha site over the next five years.
The strategy focuses on weed control, fire, introduced fauna, plant diseases and pathogens and parkland.
Cr Mike Norman said the Central Park bushland was ‘an iconic natural area being right in the middle of the Joondalup City centre’.
‘This management plan will help ensure its condition can be improved over a period of time,’ he said.
The City is also looking to discuss the establishment of a Friends of Central Park Bushland group with students and teachers at West Coast Institute, which shares a boundary with the park.
