AN apartment complex launched in Clarkson this week is expected to offer residents a medium density housing option.
Housing Minister Peter Tinley launched the three-storey Cambria complex near Clarkson train station on February 19.
Built by BGC Housing Group’s affordable housing arm, Now Living, the 13 apartments range in size from 50 to 81 sq m and feature one-bedroom, one-bathroom and two-bedroom, two bathroom configuration options.

Now Living general manager Paul Spadanuda said the apartments could be a housing option for first home buyers as an affordable entry into the housing market with prices starting at $255,000.
“The Cambria project provides an opportunity for people to get into their own home, but still live in a thriving community that is well connected for work and play,” he said.
“The location in Clarkson is well connected to public transport and sought after amenities, making it a great option for a medium density complex.”
The Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel approved the $2 million development in early 2017, with conditions about landscaping and parking.
