President Carlo Tenaglia said the club had been busy over winter preparing for the next season, which will include extended patrols to the north point.

"With the additional patrol commitments, the club is looking to expand its membership and develop more lifesavers for our community," he said.

The club was also kept busy in competition over the winter, coming third overall in the Inflatable Rescue Boat State Championships, competing for the first time at the Australian Championships and winning the senior division of the State Pool Rescue Championships with some members joining the WA team at nationals, coming third overall.
