Club celebrates 25 years of service

Over the past 25 years Wann-Gara Inner Wheel has raised tens of thousands of dollars for a variety of local and international causes, with particular emphasis on helping disadvantaged women and children, hospitals and aged care.

Club president Yvonne Goodacre said the club had a proud history of community involvement.

‘Wann-Gara Inner Wheel was originally formed from the wives and partners of the Wanneroo and Wangara Rotary clubs,’ she said.

‘These days membership is open to other women.

‘We still maintain a close relationship with Rotary, both socially and with some projects, but support many projects of our own choosing.

‘We still have four original charter members serving with the club and making important contributions.’
