Cockman House to close for facelift

THE historic Cockman House in Woodvale is being closed temporarily for maintenance.

The house, which is one of the City of Wanneroo’s most important heritage buildings, will be closed from September 19 to October 29.

The City has received approval from the State Heritage Office and Department of Planning to repair cracking in several rooms of the building and install roof supports.

The work will include removing the cracked areas of the external render and applying a new lime render.

Cockman House was built more than 150 years ago and has operated as a museum and heritage site since 1989.
