LOCAL residents and their children feature in a picture book released by the City of Wanneroo.

Come and Play! was created during September and October last year when parents and children attended the It’s All About Play program at Wanneroo Library.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the book showed toddlers working on art projects, playing with toys and singing.

“It is wonderful to see so many families using the Wanneroo Library for fun and games in this colourful book,” she said.

“The book is the perfect way to engage toddlers in the act of reading and a beautiful memento for the residents who participated in the project.”

The free program for children under four is continuing at Wanneroo and will be extended to Clarkson and Girrawheen libraries later this year.
