A COMMUNITY event in Mindarie will encourage new residents to ‘Adopt-a-Dog’ this month.

Catalina estate developer Satterley will host the November 16 event with the City of Wanneroo’s Animal Care Centre and Shenton Park Dog Refuge.

They are encouraging residents to bring their dogs, or consider adopting one with the animal care centre and refuge both bringing pets that need homes.

“We can’t wait to see the community come together at this great event,” Satterley’s community development coordinator Katie Dixon said.

“Hopefully some new family members will be adopted and all our furry friends will have a great day.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a dog owner or just a dog admirer, this event is open to all.”
