Spokesman David Hynes said Joondalup passengers rated services highly.
‘A huge 96 per cent of CAT bus passengers in Joondalup were satisfied with the service, up from 90 per cent last year and 83 per cent the year before,’ he said.
‘Further, 82 per cent of respondents were happy with Transperth’s scheduled bus services in the area.
‘We have invested an additional 350,000 service kilometres into bus routes north of Perth in the past 12 months and I have no doubt this has had a positive impact on commuter satisfaction levels.’
Mr Hynes said in Marmion, overall satisfaction for bus services was 92 percent, up from 83 per cent last year.
Marmion commuters also believed they had some of Perth’s cleanest buses, with satisfaction levels for cleanliness at 98 per cent.
Mr Hynes said 95 per cent of respondents were happy with bus handling.
Independent researchers surveyed about 4500 regular public transport users on such things as fares, frequency, punctuality and perceived safety over four weeks earlier this year.
