THE City of Wanneroo will hold an onsite meeting about plans for a dog park at Edgar Griffiths Park next Thursday.

The May 9 meeting from 5pm is part of public consultation on the Central Ward dog park project, with the park at 60 Garden Park Drive identified as a suitable site.

The City received funding from the State Government for the project, which will go towards 1.8m high fencing, agility equipment and picnic shelters.

It expects to build the park between October to April 2020.

Public consultation on the concept plan is open until May 17 via an online survey.

The City dropped plans for a dog park at Delamere Park in Banksia Grove last year following public consultation.
