Cops doing it WA-style after graduation at Joondalup Police Academy

WITH an average age of 40, it was not your typical group of graduates celebrating the end of their training at Joondalup Police Academy on Friday.

The 20 men and three women were previously police officers in other Australian states and in the UK.

The graduation ceremony honoured their completion of an intensive three-month transitional course, which educated them in WA policing methods.

The officers will go into frontline roles.
