Mr Smith said they first took part in the Big Walk to raise funds for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation eight years ago.
‘We enjoyed it so much we’ve kept on doing it from there,’ he said.
‘As soon as we know what date it’s being held each year we make sure we’re available that weekend.’

‘The thing that makes it special is the atmosphere ” we enjoy the mix of the young and old,’ he said.
‘We look forward to it every year because it’s such a great community event for a fantastic cause.’
Last year’s event saw more than 3400 participants raise $255,000.
The John Hughes Big Walk on November 16 will support Princess Margaret Hospital for Children’s oncology ward.
