The books, co-written with wife Rachelle Cross, feature photographic and biographical accounts of transatlantic liners including Queen Elizabeth II (QE2), Queen Mary II, Queen Victoria and the new Queen Elizabeth.

Frame said they had been writing the books since 2007, with the first one published in 2008.

‘I became fascinated with shipping and history when I was 11 years old and sailed aboard QE2,‘ Frame said.

‘I saw the heritage and history aboard, and became interested in the ship and her owners, Cunard Line, as well as the other transatlantic ships.

‘When I met Rachelle, she too was interested in history, so we studied the history of these ships together and wrote the books.’

He said although the books had been quite popular in the UK and USA, the couple wanted to see them in libraries in Australia.

‘To have them archived by the WA State Library is a great thrill for us and we are very proud, as this is our home,’ Frame said.
