CRAIGIE resident Chris Le Juge De Segrais is leading by example after making her 100th blood donation.
She has been Water Corporation’s blood donation co-ordinator since 2011 and helped the utility win the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Red25 campaign corporate category for the past six years.
The program also awarded her co-ordinator of the year in 2013 and 2015.
“Our work together as a team at Water Corporation has made a big difference to the lives of cancer patients, burns surgical and trauma patients, people with immune disorders and many others,” she said.
Ms Le Juge De Segrais encouraged other people to donate ahead of World Blood Donor Day on Wednesday.
“One in three people will need blood in their lifetime; chances are they could be your workmate, neighbour or family member,” she said.
“I encourage anyone who is eligible to roll up your sleeves and save three lives by donating today.”
