Decorating Ducks for Depression

Laura PondWanneroo Times

Wanneroo artist Philomena Masters has organised the third annual Decorating Ducks for Depression, which features an eye-catching array of 140 ducks created by 70 artists and hobbyists.

Money raised will be donated to Meeting for Minds, a charity supporting research of brain disorders in partnership with people living with mental illness.

Ms Masters, who was diagnosed with bipolar and major depressive disorders nearly 20 years ago, said the initiative aimed to encourage people to talk about mental health.

“The stigma that is associated with mental health is certainly an issue,” she said.
