Designs on tavern site

Danny Kapinkoff, who owns and operates several other successful taverns including the Moon & Sixpence in Woodvale and the Girrawheen Hotel, said he and his three sons were eager to enter the design phase after five years of planning.

‘We chose to open a pub in Carramar because of its growing population and there aren’t any other licensed tavern facilities in the area to cater for the needs of the community.

‘Carramar has a very good demographic and we’ve had a lot of contact and meetings with residents and positive feedback from locals and individuals.’

The family, including sons Adam, Kosta and Rob, will also establish the business’s head office at the new site.

‘We’re a hands-on, family-owned and operated business and our head office will be on site so that is where we’ll be working out of,’ Mr Kapinkoff said.

‘We really take pride in our personalised service and consistent quality of our food and beverage. It’s what we’ve done well previously and we’re looking forward to doing it in Carramar.’

The British-themed tavern at 2 Innesvale Way is expected to cost $7 million to $8 million from planning to completion.

‘There are a lot of families in the area so we’ll be catering to a wide variety of people with the restaurant, sports lounge and alfresco areas,’ Mr Kapinkoff said.
