Sergeant Al McNevin heads Wanneroo Detectives, a unit of three experienced criminal investigators and two frontline investigators.
Sgt McNevin said the unit reopened in September, a move orchestrated by Acting Commander Charlie Carver after the success of Clarkson Detectives since its inception a year ago.
‘Wanneroo Detectives has been live for eight weeks and has proven its worth with a string of successful arrests, targeting local volume crime offenders,’ Sgt McNevin said.

Sgt McNevin said they intended to target local criminals and provide a strong investigative support network for the sub-district, covering suburbs from Neerabup south to Ocean Reef Road, and east to Mariginiup, Jandabup and Gnangara.
