DFES responds to Kingsway City car fire and Darch house car crash

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) spokesman said it was |believed the fire started in “the internals of a Toyota RAV 4”, but the exact cause of the blaze was unknown.

It happened in a carpark near a fuel station about 2pm on October 13 but was no risk to the outlet. Three fire crews from Duncraig, Malaga and Wangara attended the scene, leaving about 3.10pm after quelling the blaze.

A police spokeswoman said there was no criminality suspected in the fire.

In Darch, DFES responded to an incident where a car had crashed into a home on Scido Rise about 11.30am.

The spokesman said a fire unit attended to clean up a minor fuel spill and left by noon.

He said fire crews |told police they did not need to attend.

Police said there were no injuries and no one in the home at the time.
