A CAR fire at Kingsway City shopping centre spread to at least two other vehicles causing about $50,000 damage in Madeley on Thursday.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) spokesman said it was believed the fire started in “the internals of a Toyota Rav 4”, but the exact cause of the blaze was unknown.

It happened in a carpark near a fuel station about 2pm, but was no risk to the outlet.

Three fire crews from Duncraig, Malaga and Wangara attended the scene, leaving about 3.10pm after quelling the blaze.
