THE festive period continued for Alan and Sylvia Reyner who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary yesterday.

The Tapping couple immigrated from the UK in 1968, last year 2018 celebrating 50 years living in Australia.

They first lived in Brisbane for many years before moving to Nambucca Heads in NSW to own and run a business on the coast.

After selling the business they toured Australia, working their way around the country before finishing in Perth in 1978 where they became active members of their local community.

They were members of the Quinns Rocks Lions Club for five years where Mr Reyner was president and Mrs Reyner was club secretary for three years.

Mrs Reyner also volunteered in other roles including at Kinross and Wanneroo nursing homes and helping Wanneroo Primary School with its support-a-reader program, where she still volunteers one day a week in the kindergarten.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary tomorrow with a high tea in the Swan Valley with family friends.
