Digging in for plant project

Ashdale, East Wanneroo and Wanneroo primary schools, Wanneroo Secondary College and St Anthony's School took part in the City of Wanneroo project.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said Anzac Day had a special place in Wanneroo's history and it was important to educate the younger generation.

Students received an appreciation certificate and were invited to a Last Post commemorative service on April 24.

The grevillea was launched at the Melbourne International Flower Show last month as part of the centenary of the Gallipoli landings.
